I left my heart in Cambodia

Cambodia is truly one heck of a beautiful country except for its food because seriously, nothing beats chinese food right? Siem Reap in Cambodia is where all the tourists are because the famous Angkor Wat is situated in that area. It is basically just a province but with AMAZING man-made temples and that makes all the difference. Plus their beer is cheap so THAT makes all the difference.

Johen and I went there for an adventurous getaway. The hype in our temple tour started when we woke up at 4(freakin)AM to see the sunrise in Angkor Wat and boy oh boy, it’s all SO worth it.

After our breakfast, we started our temple tour. To be completely honest, I have forgotten almost all the names of the temples that we visited because 1- it was hard to remember (except that of Angkor Wat and Ta Prohm—where they shot Tomb Raider) and 2- my head was stuck with how steep the steps in those temples were! Plus we were battling with the sun all morning so memorizing the temple names was really hard for myself. With that being said, I am so glad that I took a lot of pictures to remember how great this trip was and for the rest of my temple queries, I’ll Google.

That’s Johen and my shadow :)

I just had to make my outfit in character with the Cambodians. hahaha

Can you believe that a policeman took this creative shot?! I’m serious. The police in that temple told us about this dope shot. Plus this too:

It’s my longest hour at work and sad to say that I’ve been slacking off my tumblr because I was busy (like thesis-busy) and there was nothing that I would really like to share since I’m not doing anything new. Yada yada yada… So, few minutes ago, I was browsing through the internet and for some reason, I came across with this..

A poem about my dysmenorrhea

My monthly period tells me I’m not preggy

But it makes my belly super huge and soggy

My  dysmenorrhea turns me to a monster

I yell and curse everyone just like a gangster

Everything I wear makes me feel fat

Everything I do tells me I’m a rat

Pimples grow here there and everywhere

But fuck that shit, as if I really care

Forgive me if I whine like a spoiled cry baby

But its my hormones that speak like slim shady

Please understand that I do not want this

Maybe my dysmenorrhea only wants a kiss

Lesson Learned

In less than 48hrs, I lost/almost lost 3 important things (in chronological order)—parking ticket, week-old iphone and locker keys. With that, I have to conclude that being a clutz is my forte.

Losing a parking ticket really gets under your skin like the 5 stages of death. Denying of losing it, being angry for losing it, bargaining to get away with losing it, depressed at paying the lost parking ticket fee and accepting that you have no choice but to pay for it. All of those emotions came to me until the guy from S&R said that he can waive the fee for as long as I give him my purchased receipt. Thank God I have a churros and soda ritual before going home coz my mother who has the grocery receipt left early! Lesson learned: always keep your parking ticket after having it validated before being overwhelmed by the foods that you see.

Almost losing a week old phone only describes one statement: HOLYMOTHEROFCHRIST THANK YOU AND I LOVE YOU MISTER FOR RETURNING IT TO ME. I cannot explain what I felt that time when I realized that the waiter who was running after me was holding my new phone while I’m holding hand in hand with the person who gave it to me! Lesson learned: always check, double-check and triple-check if your phone is still with you before leaving any establishments coz there’s no way out like a lost parking ticket fee and a month of mourning won’t help either.

Losing the locker keys at the gym is I must say the most pestering of all. First, the keychains are the locker numbers so it is very easy for the lowlife aholes to get to your private stuff and secondly, there’s a certain fee that you have to pay so that they will open your locker that was already emptied by that lowlife ahole. And again, I wanna thank all the Gods out there who did not let this happen to me! There was just this stupid member who surrendered my keys to the janitor while I was just a yard away doing some leg exercise. So after being cranky to 3 out of 4 janitors, the last one I approached had my keys. Rushed to my locker, opened it and voila, everything was still there. Such a great relief! Lesson learned: do not get those lockers with keychain.

This past 2 days are too intense that I wanna invest in putting gps tracker to all my things because aside from my body fats, I don’t wanna lose anything anymore. Must F-O-C-U-S!
